HealthSouth simplifies recruiting with technology
HealthSouth, which provides inpatient rehabilitative services in 26 states, has implemented an automated recruitment platform to streamline the company's recruiting process and increase efficiency and privacy.
HealthSouth officials said they were looking for a system that combined best practice contract management with recruitment workflow, and are now using technology developed by Chicago-based Intelestream to meet new hiring requirements related to hospital, corporate and student recruiting.
The healthcare company implemented a hybrid of both InteleStaffing and InteleSourcing products to build a customized candidate tracking system. The solution includes what Intelestream executives call a "sophisticated marketing engine" that engages passive candidates through e-mail campaigns and other activities.
Intelestream also implemented a group security feature, which protects sensitive hiring data, provided user training and continues to support the system.
Using Intelestream's iReports, HealthSouth executives say management now has a clearer view into key metrics including the number of open requisitions, hire ratio, number of candidates during a given timeframe and candidates by status requisition.Officials say this allows them to make informed decisions in a timely manner while cutting costs.
"Our company needs to consistently leverage technology to keep us ahead of the competition and at the top of our industry," said William Poynter, director of talent acquisition for HealthSouth. "Intelestream's solution has boosted HealthSouth's recruiting department and allowed further automation and streamlining of our specific business processes."
Poynter said HealthSouth had used a manual process that was disjointed and lacked fluid collaboration among the organization, its hospitals and potential candidates. The old contract management and renewal process had also been inefficiently managed through a series of Excel spreadsheets, he said.
